Exercise and Arthritis Forum
Tuesday, July 8th - 10:00am - Noon

Representative Suzie Bassi and the Greater Chicago Chapter of Arthritis Foundation invite you to the Exercise and Arthritis Forum.

At the forum, you will learn more about managing arthritis pain. A rheumatologist, physical therapist and exercise instructor cover topics such as physical activity, joint protection and proper footwear. An introduction by the local legislator and an exercise demonstration are also part of the program.

Dairyland Dog Track
Wednesday, July 9th - 10am - 5pm

Pamper yourself with a relaxing day at the Dog Track. We will make a stop at the Mars Cheese store, then go to the Kenosha Dog Track for a delicious meal (roast beef or turkey) and time for gaming. Moderate walking, a few spaces remain.

Wisconsin Wandering
Saturday, July 19th - 8:30am - 7pm

(Shared trip with BACOA)

Spend the day riding trains, sampling fresh fruits and wines and enjoy the scenic splendor of Wisconsin. The trip includes motor coach transportation, train ride and a mid-day meal at Popeyes in Lake Geneva. There will be time to taste test and shop.

Cruise the Milwaukee River and enjoy three guided brewery tours and sample beers from three micro breweries. Cost includes transportation, lunch at the Milwaukee Ale House and tours. The boat is covered and has side walls for inclement weather.

This combination trip will have a little something for anyone wanting to enjoy a summer break. We will stop at the Four Winds Casino for lunch, then continue on to Soaring Eagle Casino Resort for an overnight stay. The next morning we return home after stops at some of Michigan's best wineries for tours and lunch. Bring your family and enjoy an evening of baseball and fireworks. Cost includes transportation, ticket and Ozzie Dollars (drink and hotdog, plus $5 coupon). The Cougars will play the Chicago Cubs farm team, the Peoria Chiefs.

The Traveling Luncheon Group

AARP Drivers Safety Program

Dates:   Monday & Tuesday,
            June 9 & 10, 2008

(Next program will be in August)
Time: Noon - 4:00pm

Fee: $10.00 Make check payable to AARP.

This two-day eight-hour defensive driving course sponsored by AARP will help make
 you a better and safer driver.
Depending on your insurance carrier, it may also gain you a discount on your car insurance.
Register at the Center or mail in your $10.00 payment in advance.


Rules of the Road

A certified National Safety Council instructor will be offering this review course designed to provide drivers with the knowledge and confidence needed to obtain or renew their Illinois drivers license.

This 2-hour free course reviews the Illinois traffic laws and includes a practice written exam.
