The registration date for trips in the December-March Happenings is Tues., Dec. 17, 2019.  Registration in person will be handled first.  Members can register by phone beginning at 12 p.m.  Members can register one other member at the time they register.

Non-Members may register for trips on Fri., Dec. 20, 2019 following member registration.

One Day Trips

Beauty & the Beast - Paramount Theatre, Aurora, IL - This is a wonderful Disney Classic to share with your family.  Pick-up tickets at PTSCC.  There is NO bus for this theatre trip.  You only purchase the tickets & take your family to the Paramount on your own.  Parking garage near the theatre.  Moderate walking

Reagan's Birthplace - Dixon, IL - Discover the history of Ronald Reagan’s birthplace, via step on guide tour.  This area of Illinois has some unique history for you to explore, as we also visit the NW Territory Museum.  Lunch will be included, choices at registration:  chicken melt, fried fish, or BLT.  And enjoy a quaint walk through the town of Dixon. Moderate to lots to of walking

Holocaust Museum & more - Skokie, IL - Join us for a tour of the Holocaust Museum, then lunch at Maggiano’s family style meal (mozzarella sticks, spaghetti w/ marinara sauce & chicken parmesan, plus dessert).  Then off to Abt Electronics - it is not just appliances - enjoy a gourmet shop, fish tank & more.  Moderate to lots of walking

Brighton Beach - Citadel Theatre - Citadel Theatre presents Brighton Beach, a portrait of the writer as a young teen in 1937 living with his family in a crowded, lower middle class Brooklyn walk up. It is a bittersweet memoir that captures the struggles of this Jewish household.  Lunch choice at registration is reuben, cheeseburger or veggie flatbread.  Moderate walking

​A Mighty Fortress - Ft. Atkinson, WI - In this installment of the Church Basement Ladies series, the year is 1960 & a reformation is underway.  Beverly gets her first pair of high heels for confirmation.  Mrs. Snustad wins top honors at the County Fair & the pastor has found love.  So, the fun begins with this group of friends.  Lunch is pork chop, sides & apple pie.  Moderate walking

Milwaukee Fun Adventure - Milwaukee, WI - Experience some tasty treats & a unique museum in Milwaukee.  Start off at O & H Bakery, pick up some great Kringles.  Then we head over to the Harley Davidson Museum, this museum is full of excitement & history.  After, we will end with a true Wisconsin lunch of cheese curds, beer brats on a pretzel bun, sides & Kringles at the Lake Front Brewery.  Moderate to lots of walking

Overnight Trips

Eagle Watch at Starved Rock

Join us for a wonderful winter excursion to Starved Rock Lodge.  You will start off your day with a lunch & matinee show at the lodge.  Then you will have the late afternoon to settle in, enjoy time with friends, explore the lodge & grounds, plus dinner on your own at the lodge.  The next morning breakfast is included before you take off on the eagle watch tour.  Once we return we will have a delicious lunch (included) & then head back home.  We hope you will join us for this great winter adventure.

Springfield & St. Louis Overnight

Join us for this wonderful autumn excursion.  First stop is Springfield, to capture some Illinois history.  Enjoy the Lincoln Museum (included), then some free time & lunch on your own.  We then travel to St. Louis for a 2 night stay at River City Casino.  The first night, the evening & dinner is on your own.  Wednesday we check out the Arches & parkway (tram ride, movie & museum included) plus lunch on your own.  Then it is off to Anheuser-Busch, Day Fresh Tour (beverage tastings included).  We will stop at the hotel to freshen up before heading out on the Skyline Dinner Cruise (included).  Thursday we head home with a stop at the Cahokia Mounds (included), some more interesting Illinois history.

Celebrate Michigan

  • Cost:  $875 per person double occupany  / $1179 single

The Fourth Michigan Tour with Sue & Diane.  Enjoy a 6 day motor coach trip, traveling to Saugatuck for lunch & free time, plus dune ride.  We then travel to Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel for a 2 night stay.  Touring Sleeping Bear Dunes & Traverse City.  We then venture up to Petoskey spending 2 nights to Odawa Casino & Hotel.  We will be discovering some unique areas along the way, Charlevoix, Mackinac Island & more.  Then as we head home, we will spend the night in Grand Rapids and check out the Frederick Meijer Gardens & the Air Zoo Museum.  We look forward to having you join us on this great excursion.

Any cancellation could be subject to a $25 administration fee.  Once we have made final payments for any trip, we cannot refund your money
